Today wasn’t actually spent in Dublin for the students – they went on an excursion to the beautiful city of Kilkenny which is located in the midlands. Kilkenny is approximately two and a half hours away from Dublin and it is one of Ireland’s most popular places for tourists to visit. It is very picturesque and it has a magnificent castle right in the centre.
It is famous for the comedy festival which it hosts each year and for its Gaelic hurling team which is very hard to beat!
The students went to visit the castle and afterwards they had free time to explore the rest of the city. It was a busy day for the students so they were glad to get back home to relax.
