The morning started off well with everybody arriving early for class. Normally the students study some grammar or vocabulary in the first class and then they practise speaking in the second class.

The afternoon was spent in the school. The girls made some traditional Irish brown bread and the boys played sport. Afterwards we went home for dinner and a rest before our night out at the disco in the local rugby club.

Today started off very wet and windy – but everybody arrived at the school just in time to have a quick game of table tennis before doing the level test. The test took about 45 minutes in total and then the students were separated in different groups according to their level.

After class we had our packed lunch in the canteen and afterwards we met up with some Brazilian students to go into the city centre for an orientation. During the orientation we visited Trinity College, Molly Malone, Temple Bar and Henry Street. On Henry Street we had some time to look about in the shops.

The evening was spent relaxing with their host families.

Having said our goodbyes at Valencia airport we took to the skies for Dublin! The students were both excited and nervous. When we landed we noticed that the sky was blue but the ground was wet - it was a typical July day with summer showers!

We were met at the airport by a CES representative who took us to a bus which in turn took us to Mercy College where we met our host families. The host families then brought their individual student to their new home for the next three weeks. The students had their first taste of Irish food with their families this evening.

We met up in the evening to have a walk around the area and also to see where we need to take the bus from tomorrow morning. Afterwards the students all went home to relax and prepare for their first day of school tomorrow.
