Everybody was a little tired today after their busy day yesterday. It was also a little cloudy which didn’t help the tiredness!
We had a class as usual in the morning. The girls were studying the past simple, phrasal verbs and vocabulary used to describe personalities.

In their second class they did activities to practise their English and they sang songs.

One thing the girls miss from Spain is the long leisurely lunch. At the moment they are eating sandwiches which their host family give them. I’ve heard more than once that they miss paella!!

In the afternoon we stayed in the school for sports and activities. Lucia, Laura and Alex opted to watch a film - Slumdog Millionaire, while Mar and Paula decided to do a radio workshop. They recorded short interviews with people in English which they then made into a collage of interview questions.

This evening the girls chose not to go to the dog racing excursion but to stay at home and relax instead.

Another sunny day in Dublin! We started off with class as usual and then in the afternoon we went to a small village on the outskirts of Dublin called Malahide. This is a small village by the coast. It is home to a beautiful castle and a guide took us around where we learned about its history.

The castle is surrounded by beautiful green gardens which we admired for a while and we even saw a rabbit! We were also lucky enough to see a bride and groom having photos taken just after their wedding!

In the evening we went to Dun Laoghaire which is a habour village in the south of Dublin. We walked along the pier and ate ice cream!

We woke up to a lovely sunny morning this morning. The plan was to meet at the school gates at 8.45 but as it was the first morning it was inevitable that somebody would get lost! After the level tests the girls had a break and then went to their classes.

In the afternoon we went to the city centre by bus to have an orientation. We looked at The Spire which is 120m tall and is located on the main street, O'Connell Street. We also went to visit Trinity College and Temple Bar.

We left town and went back to our host families to have dinner. Unfortunately the rain came so it was a quiet evening. This gave the girls an opportunity to relax!
