We are having a heatwave at the moment!! I can’t believe how lucky we are…...but the girls think it’s always like this in Ireland!!
After class the girls broke up into different groups for activities.

Laura watch a film called the Golden Compass, Paula baked some traditional Irish scones, Lucia really enjoyed playing volleyball and Alex and Mar played rugby.

In the evening we went to Dun Laoghaire for a walk on the pier. We ate ice cream and enjoyed the sun with hundreds of people that had the same idea as us!

Day 15 – July 17th, 2016

It’s been a long week of activities so today the students took some time out to relax in the sunshine. Some of them went sunbathing in their back garden while others went to the city centre to have a look in some shops.

We can’t believe our last week starts tomorrow!!

Today the girls felt as though they were back in Valencia as the weather was so good!! We went on our second full day excursion today. We took the bus at 9am and visited a big town in the centre of Ireland called Athlone.

This town is very important historically for Ireland as there were many battles with the Vikings here. We visited Athlone castle and learned all about its history. Afterwards we went for a cruise on the Shannon, which is the longest river in Ireland. We enjoyed this trip very much as the sun was shining down on us and we could really appreciate the blue sky and the green fields and trees.
