Today was a special day in the school as it was the annual sports day. This is a day when all of the students, teachers, leaders and assistants work in teams and have lots of fun!

We were the red team so we all wore red and we painted our faces. We learned some chants and we supported our team! At the end we went out into the garden to do an activity in which everybody ended up getting wet! We spent most of the afternoon laughing!

The disco was tonight. The girls got dressed up and spent the night dancing!

We had a smooth start to the week with another sunny Monday morning. Classes went well. Some of the students met new housemates over the weekend so they were able to show them how to get to school.

At lunch time we had a very special occasion to celebrate - today was Lucia’s 13th birthday!! We bought her a cake and signed a card for her. We also gave her a present that her parents had sent over. All of the students in the canteen sang Happy Birthday to her!!

After lunch we took the bus into town to visit Dublinia. This is an interactive museum which tells the story of Viking and Medieval Ireland. We looked at and examined some archeological treasures. Afterwards we enjoyed an ice cream on the lawn under the sunny Dublin sky!
