Day 15 – July 17th, 2016

It’s been a long week of activities so today the students took some time out to relax in the sunshine. Some of them went sunbathing in their back garden while others went to the city centre to have a look in some shops.

We can’t believe our last week starts tomorrow!!

Today the girls felt as though they were back in Valencia as the weather was so good!! We went on our second full day excursion today. We took the bus at 9am and visited a big town in the centre of Ireland called Athlone.

This town is very important historically for Ireland as there were many battles with the Vikings here. We visited Athlone castle and learned all about its history. Afterwards we went for a cruise on the Shannon, which is the longest river in Ireland. We enjoyed this trip very much as the sun was shining down on us and we could really appreciate the blue sky and the green fields and trees.

Friday again - the girls have been looking forward to this day as it means they have some free time to do as they wish. After class all of the girls took the bus to the city centre.

They spent some time looking around the shops and buying some souvenirs for friend and family back home. Some of the girls went to find the statue of Molly Malone as they learned a song about her in class.
